Spend a day with professional nature photographer Paul Miguel photographing the best of Yorkshire's wildlife.


Paul Miguel has worked as a professional nature photographer for the past ten years and has designed a range of wildlife photography courses to cater for every taste. All workshops are carefully researched in terms of location, lighting and accessible wildlife. With Paul's knowledge of specific locations and subjects within Yorkshire, you will be taken to the very best sites to maximise your chances of capturing wildlife photographs.

 

With a degree in Zoology, and valuable experience as a teaching assistant, Paul is your ideal guide and photographic tutor. Most courses run with a maximum of just four, ensuring plenty of personal tuition. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced photographers. Wildlife Photography Workshops 2012

All Inclusive Wildlife Photography Workshop:

April 11th-13th

2 nights/ 3 days Yorkshire Wildife Tour; upland grouse and waders, birds of prey, red deer; accommodation at the Solberge Hall Hotel

Woodland Birds:

February 3rd; 8th; 10th 24th

Half day woodland birds course; tits, blackbirds, robins, fnches and jays.

Birds of Prey:

March 30th; August 10th; October 6th

Birds include: barn owl, little owl, eagle owl, long eared owl, goshawk. Natural portraits and flight photography

Malham Birds:

May 20th

Wild peregrines at Malham Cove; dippers and wagtails

Yorkshire Dales Birds:

March 31st; August 19th

Upland birds: red grouse, lapwing, oystercatcher, curlew, meadow pipit on heather moorland

Red Deer - autumn rut:

October 14th

Rutting deer stags, red deer hinds; sika and fallow deer

Bempton Cliffs seabirds:

July 7th

Nesting gannets, seabirds in flight; guilemots, razorbills, puffins; coastal scenes

Water Voles:

April 18th; May 11th; June 27th; July 3rd; July 9th

What's included: lunch and refreshments; transport during the day; email feedback on images
Deposit: £30 minimum

Maximum number: 4 (10 for birds of prey)

Itinerary: course information will be sent out before the workshop

What's Required?

Most wildlife course require lenses of at least 300mm. A tripod or beanbag is also useful. Make sure you have plenty of memory card space!
